Plan the week from meals you actually cook. Then walk every ingredient once — Have, Need, Skip — and what’s left becomes a shopping list in the order you walk the store.
Free to use, with saved menus, cook mode and your whole recipe collection. Plus covers your household and adds store routing and AI every month.
You can use RoloMeal in your browser today — everything works here.
How it works
Planning and shopping you already know. It is the step in the middle that changes what ends up on the list.
Drag meals from your own library onto the days. Leftovers roll over. Nothing is invented for you.
Every ingredient in the week, once: Have, Need or Skip. Staples arrive pre-answered.
What is left, grouped by the aisle you walk, so you cross the shop once.
The mechanism
A planner that never asks what is in your kitchen has exactly one honest option: put everything on the list. So you buy the third jar of cumin. You buy rice you already had. You buy parsley twice and throw both bunches away.
Refine takes the whole week’s ingredients and splits them in two. Staples — the things your pantry already knows about — arrive pre-marked Have, because they usually are. Fresh arrives asking. You tap down the list once: Have, Need, Skip. Cooking for eight instead of four? Adjust the quantity as you go.
Refine remembers what you said, for that week. Swap Thursday’s dinner on Wednesday night and the second pass only asks about Thursday.
Anything you need that has a quantity gets a stepper — ½×, 1×, 2×, 3×. Half a recipe of chilli, double the rice, and the list does the arithmetic.
Mark something Have and it becomes a staple there and then. Olive oil stops being a question: every week after, it starts pre-answered.
The list
Produce, then bakery, deli, meat and seafood, dairy, frozen, pantry, beverages, snacks, household. The same route every supermarket lays out, so you cross the shop once instead of three times.
The same items regroup by meal, when you want to see what Thursday adds to the list. With Plus they also regroup by store, in the order you arranged your shops, so a week that spans two places is still one list.
Check things off as you go. Your progress is yours, on your own phone.
Wondering why there are two onions on the list? Each item shows the meals it’s for, with the day and how much each one needs.
Once a week is on your shopping list, swap a dinner or clear a day and the list offers the changes to make. You review them before anything moves, so nothing you added yourself disappears.
Shopping Mode · Plus
Save the shops you actually use and RoloMeal watches for them in the background. Pull into the car park and the list is already open. Get home with three things still unchecked and it tells you before the week does.
It is geofences, not tracking: the app reacts to arriving at and leaving the places you chose, and never records where else you go.
Saved stores are part of Plus, so Shopping Mode is too.
Still on your list
You left Safeway with 3 items unchecked.
Bring it back
Every household cooks the same nine dinners into the ground and forgets the rest. RoloMeal watches what you have planned and quietly offers back the ones that have fallen off, with no lists to maintain and nothing to set up. Not in the mood? Snooze it. Done with it for good? Retire it, and it stops asking.
Your week, your way
Save a week you liked as a menu — “Taco week”, “Camping” — and put it on any week later, filling only the empty days or replacing the lot.
One step at a time, in large type. The screen stays on, and a time in a step becomes a timer you tap to start.
Nutrition estimates per serving, labelled as estimates, with a running total for each day of the plan. A recipe that already lists its own figures keeps them.
Weeks start on the day you choose. Sunday shoppers plan Sunday to Saturday.
Household · Plus
Mark a group as your household and your Plus covers everyone in it, up to six people including you. They plan from the same meals and shop from the same list, without each of them paying.
The monthly AI that comes with Plus is shared too: the household draws on one allowance.
Getting your meals in
RoloMeal plans from your library, so the library matters. Paste a link and it reads the recipe straight off the page. Type one in, or keep the ones you have always cooked from memory.
Most recipe apps can export your recipe book as a file. Import it here in one go, free on every plan: titles, ingredients, steps, tags, favourites and nutrition come across.
Coming from an app with no export? Paste the recipe links you saved, up to 200 at a time, and RoloMeal reads every page.
Export everything — recipes, plans, menus and lists — whenever you like, on every plan. Your recipes are never stuck here.

Cooking is hands-free too: the steps can be read aloud and driven from the lock screen, on every account.
AI handles the harder imports — a photograph of a cookbook page, a PDF, a site that will not parse — plus dictation, snap-an-ingredient and receipt scanning. Plus includes AI every month, and a new account gets a small taste to try it. Premium narration voices are part of Plus.
Nothing goes to an outside AI service until you allow it. What we send, and to whom.
Pricing
