Switching to RoloMeal

Your recipes are the hard part of moving. RoloMeal brings the whole collection across in one go, free on every plan, and lets you take it with you again whenever you like.

1. Export from the app you use today

Most recipe apps can export your recipe book as a file. Look for Export in the app’s settings, or on its website. Some keep the export open after your subscription ends, so you can cancel first and export afterwards.

Step-by-step export instructions for common apps are in the Help Center.

2. Import the file here

  • iPhone and iPad: open You → Import recipes and choose the file.
  • Web: open Settings → Import recipes and drop the file on the box.

RoloMeal works out what kind of file it is, tells you how many recipes are new, and imports them. Reading the file uses no AI and costs nothing. A recipe you already have is skipped, so importing the same file twice is safe.

No export? Paste your links

If your app can’t export, most of the recipes you saved there came from a website. Copy their links and paste the whole list into Import recipes → Paste links, up to 200 at a time. RoloMeal checks the list first and says how many are new and roughly what the import will use before anything starts: a page that publishes its recipe in a standard format is read for free, and any other page uses a little AI credit.

What comes across

  • Titles, ingredients, directions, prep and cook times, servings and the source link
  • Tags and categories, as tags on the meal
  • Favourites
  • Nutrition per serving, when the file has it

Not imported: photos, descriptions and notes.

Every meal gets a picture. For imported recipes a new picture uses a little AI credit, and you choose whether they are drawn now or when you first open each meal.

Take it with you

You can export everything, on every plan, at any time: your recipes as a spreadsheet that other recipe apps can read, or one file with your recipes, plans, menus and lists. Exporting costs nothing.
